In 2018 he released his first single Let the Night Begin and in 2022 an EP followed, Pray Like Hell. In June 2022 he released the single Painting Pictures Playing 70 different venues and close to 175 shows in 2022, Jackson likes to keep things real and authentic .You get what you see with this artist.

He also had been playing lead guitar with Vic Ferrari since 1989. In 1997, Russ started the Stringbenders with Dave Steffen. His solo acoustic show covers classic rock and folk rock of the 60s and 70s, with a few modern tunes thrown in for good measure.
